Shop and house. Early C18 with late C19 facade. Painted ashlar,
stone slate roof. Central unit of block of 4; No 3 Bank Street to
right and Nos 53 and 55 High Street (q.v.) to left. 2-storey, 2-
window. Ground floor is vermiculated and has central canted bay
with columns and scrolled imposts to roll moulded round-arched
windows, round arched door to left on columns with scrolled imposts
and cornice over whole. To right is C20 shop front. First floor
has central group of 3 stilted segmental-arched windows in roll-
moulded cases with foliated capitals and slightly projecting panel,
to right is single stilted segmental arched window with roll
moulded case. Moulded cornice and blocking course to roof, single
hipped dormer.
