CORSHAM BENCES LANE ST 8770 5/8 No 6 (formerly listed as Nos 5, 6 19.12.80 and 7 separately) GV II

Marked on ordnance survey as Nos 5, 6 and 7. House, early C18, rubble stone with stone tiled roof, 2 storeys and attic, 'L'-plan. North gable to road, coped with saddle stone and north-east corner stack, flush quoins and drip courses over ground and first floors. Flush cyma-moulded windows, 2-light with dripstone to attic, two 2- lights to first floor and 4-light to ground floor. C19 dormer on west side. Rear range has ridge stack and coped west gable with saddlestone. C20 door and blocked door on north side. South front is roughcast, 2 dormers, 2 first floor 2-light mullion windows and ground floor 2-light and 3-light mullion windows, all flush cym- moulded except for first floor left which is recessed ovolo- moulded, possibly indicating earlier origins. On road front between No 6 and No 8, single storey link with stone tiled roof, 2 doors and 3 small windows, C19, containing outhouses.
