CORSHAM HIGH STREET ST 8770 (west side) 5/223 No 75 20.12.60 GV II

House, mid C18, limewashed rubble stone with stone tiled roof, coped gables and end-wall stacks. Two storeys, 3-window range. Flush quoins and moulded stone eaves. Sash windows in raised bead-moulded surrounds, paired outer windows, single to first floor centre. Eight-pane sashes to first floor, 2-pane to ground floor. Plain raised dripstones over ground floor windows. Central 6- panel door in flush moulded doorcase with hood on brackets. Two rear wings with end wall stacks. North wing has south side first floor 3-light flush cyma-moulded window. South wing has similar north side upper 4-light with dripstone, C20 four-light below and original 2-light with dripstone to left, now internal as rear wall in centre is built out in ashlar with gable. Interior: closed string staircase, fielded panelled shutters, doors and first floor window seats.
