CORSHAM THINGLEY NORTH END ST 87 SE 1/372 Thingley Court Farmhouse 20.12.60 GV II
Farmhouse, mostly C16 to C17 but probably earlier in origin. Some C18 alteration. Rubble stone with stone-tiled roofs. Two storey, 3-window range to left with ridge stack, south end coped gable and outside stack and heavy south end cornerstones. Three upper 2- light windows, two C18 flush cyma-moulded, one C16 or C17 recessed hollow moulded. Ground floor C18 two-light with hoodmould, door with dripstone over and C19 timber porch, single light and C19 canted bay with long casement windows. Rear has lean-to to right with blank gable over and smaller lean-to to left with eaves dormer gable and timber-mullion 2-light window. Range to right is one and a half storeys to front with coped gable to left and ridge stack to main range. Gable has 3-light hollow-moulded window and hoodmould over large C19 canted stone bay. Main range has casement pair over 2 doors and outbuilding range attached at north-east corner. To rear is two and a half storey cross-gabled block, C17, with gables to west, north and south and roof hipped down to front range to east. South gable stack. One-room plan with recessed ovolo- moulded windows, 2-light to attic and 3-light to main floors, all with hoodmoulds, on west end and north side, south side has one first floor 3-light.
