Churchyard monument. 1857. Stone; an obelisk on a panelled base. To Francis King Eagle (d.1856), lawyer and County Court Judge, who was the first Mayor of Bury St Edmunds after the passing of the Municipal Corporations Act in 1835. Erected by public subscription. (Statham M: The Book of Bury St Edmunds: Buckingham: 1988-: 62).
