Pair of small town houses, No.89 now apparently an antique shop, No.91 now a restaurant. c1820-35; altered. Watershot coursed sandstone (No.91 now rendered at ground floor and painted above), stone slate roof. Double-depth plan, each house single-fronted but No.89 much wider. 3 low storeys, 1+1 windows; with a simple corbel-table to a wooden gutter. No.89 has the doorway to the right, with a plain surround, and one window on each floor to the left, that at ground floor large and square, that at 1st floor vertical-rectangular and that at 2nd floor small and square, all with raised sills, plain surrounds and C20 small-paned glazing. No.91 has a doorway to the left (the surround now rendered) and similarly-shaped windows with altered glazing. Cut-down ridge chimney at junction. Rear and INTERIOR not inspected. Forms a group with Nos 83-87 to the right (qv) which is slightly taller, the gable wall of No.87 slightly overlapping the junction with No.89.
