CHIPPENHAM WITHOUT - ST 87 SE 5/198 Barn range at Starveall Farm
GV II
Barn and outbuildings, early C18, rubble stone with stone-tiled roofs. Barn with flush quoins and projecting east side gabled cart entry with sundial finial and lean-to additions each side. Plain rear cart entry. 5-bay interior with tie-beam-and collar trusses to double purlin roof. Attached at south end, 2 storey range with south end outside stair, single upper opening over central door with 2 windows each side. Lower openings with timber lintels. Running east from north end of barn 6-bay open cartshed with circular rubble stone piers and pennant stone square caps. Further open-bay range to east not of special interest.
