2. Front circa 1800. Formerly the Greyhound Inn. More recently the Post Office. Roughcast front. Two storeys and attic, latter screened by high parapet. Moulded cornice. Central rain-water pipe with fluted conical head. Two original 2 storey angled bay windows with glazing bar sash windows first floor and bow windows (retaining shatter grooves) on ground floor. Doorway off-centre right with open pedimented cornice and 6 panel door. Interior, ground floor altered. Stone slate roof with 2 gabled dormers. Two long 2 storey wings to rear. The house is locally famous for its sub-postmistress Mrs Mabel Shranks who filtered British Secret Agents on their way to Coleshill House during World War II.
