1. 5410 HIGHWORTH HIGH STREET (north side) Nos 40 and 40A (formerly listed as No 40) SU 2092 SW 18/303 26.1.55

2. Early-mid C18 corner block with hipped roof to corner. Faces High Street and Market Place. Two and a half storeys. Painted brick, No 40 rendered. No 40A has chamfered stone quoins. Brick flat arches to first floor, glazing bar sash windows in flush moulded frames, 3 to High Street, 7 to Market Place. No 40 has 2 on ground floor. Rest have early C20 shop fronts with moulded cornices and awnings. No 40 has 8 panel central door with narrow overlight. Traces of band over ground floor near corner. Bold modillion eaves cornice. Slate roof to High Street, stone slates to Market Place. Gabled dormers, one to High Street, 4 to Market Place. Half hipped gabled extensions to rear.
