EXETER STREET 1. 1594 Nos lO9A 109B & 109 SU 1429 SE 6/362C 1I* GV 2. Cl6 origin, altered mid C18. (Formerly one, now 2 properties). 2 storeys stuccoed brick recasing of timber frame. Steep pitch gable end old tile roof. One small gabled dormer. Toothed brick eaves cornice. 3 windows lst floor (originally probably 4). Flush framed sashes, Cl9 glazing. Ground floor of No l08 has mid C19 6 pane shop window, the glazed and panelled door set at angle into central passageway. No 109 to right has a Victorian shop front, flanking pilasters, 4 light window with thin transom and colonettes dividing, plain spandrels to heads. The frieze and cornice are continued over passage entry. No 109B entrance is in passage where beam ends with curved stops are visible. Interior has original corner post with enlarged head. Butt purlin roof. Queen strut, tie beams and windbraces, similar to roof No 108 (Crown and Inn) qv.
Nos 99 to 112 (consec) form a group.
