Details
1. 5409 KINGSBURY SQUARE (North-West Side) No 2 SU 0931 5/3 II GV
2. Circa 1800. 2 storeys and attic, painted brick with projecting plinth and 3 course band over ground floor. Brick block cornice. 3windows on 1st floor (6-pane C19 sashes in flush frames). 2 on ground floor, to left a 6-pane C19 sash with segmental head, the right hand window altered to mid C20 3-light casement. Central doorcase: narrow applied pilasters support open board pediment with applied cartouche, 6-panel door (raised and fielded panels, upper 2 glazed), panelled reveals. Old tile roof, half-hipped to right; 2 hipped dormers with 2-light casements. On 1st floor a Sun Fire Insurance Mark (688559), taken out by Charles Chipps for the new house in 1799. Valley roof with double chimney. To rear 4 windows on 1st floor, segmental headed 2-light casements. Interiors exposed beams; replica 1780s fireplaces in front rooms.
