Details
1. 5409 NORTH STREET (North-West Side) No 25 (formerly listed as No 12) SU 0931 5/25 4.8.51. II*
2. C16 or earlier; small Wealden-type 3 bay hall-house. One of two only in Wilton. Timber framed with brick infill. Half-hipped tiled roof. Jettied 1st floor sides, curved brackets support eaves over recessed centre. Fenestration altered, 3 windows on 1st floor, centre a lunette (C18), 3 windows on ground floor, right hand modern, other 2 late sashes. Door off centre in right hand bay. To rear a circular wreathed and radiating window to 1st floor left hand and a fancy glazed cast-iron 2-light casement on ground floor to right. Chimney in centre bay at rear. Modern kitchen extension to right hand. Interior disposition altered. Braced timber party walls on 1st floor. Ground floor former side bays have cross beams tenoned into main beams.
