IDMISTON CHURCH ROAD SU 13 NE (south sde) 3/71 Thatch End GV II
Cottage. C17 and C18. Cob and brick with colourwashed infilling to residual timber frame. Thatched roof. Two storeys, 2 bays to C17 framed central section, extended both ends in single storey work, that to left, now living room, turning corner into Porton Road. Framed section 1 storey at attic, gable to street, 2 panels high with corner braces, now incorporated into second bay to left containing entrance within thatched open porch. Gable stack. Extension to right late C18 in cob with single door. Hipped dormer to rear of left extension. Internally, fire lintel inscribed TM 176- MS. Listed primarily for group value. (RCHM Survey)
