PRIORS HARSTON SOUTHAM ROAD (North side) No.2 and No.3 (Honisberie)

GV II Pair of cottages, possibly formerly one house. C17, with C18 and C19 alterations. Coursed squared ironstone. No.3 on right has corrugated iron roof; brick internal stack. Roof on No.2 undergoing reconstruction at time of resurvey; brick end stack. Four-unit plan. Two storeys; four-window range.

No.2 has plank door and wood lintel in second bay, inserted into partially bricked-up chamfered mullioned window with one light remaining, and hood mould. Three-light C19 window with wood lintel. First floor windows removed at time of resurvey, but right window has traces of stone mullions. Interior noted as having broad stepped stop-chamfered beams and open fireplace.

No.3 has three-light casements with horizontal glazing bar inserted into low three-light chamfered mullioned windows with mullions removed; ground floor window has remains of hood-mould. Three-light C19 casement with horizontal glazing bars and painted wood lintel to right. Small part-leaded two-light casement above. Entrance to rear has C19 leaded half-glazed four-panelled door with painted glass. Interior not inspected.
