GV II

Pair of cottages, possibly formerly one house. C17, with C18 and C19 alterations. Coursed squared ironstone. No.3 on right has corrugated iron roof; brick internal stack. Roof on No.2 undergoing reconstruction at time of resurvey; brick end stack. 4-unit plan. 2 storeys; 4-window range. No.2 has plank door and wood lintel in second bay, inserted into partially bricked-up chamfered mullioned window with one light remaining, and hood mould. 3-light cI9 window with wood lintel. First floor windows removed at time of resurvey, but right window has traces of stone mullions. Interior noted as having broad stepped stop-chamfered beams and open fireplace. No.3 has 3-light casements with horizontal glazing bar inserted into low 3-light chamfered mullioned windows with mullions removed; ground floor window has remains of hood-mould. 3-light C19 casement with horizontal glazing bars and painted wood lintel to right. Small part-leaded 2-light casement above. Entrance to rear has C19 leaded half-glazed 4-panelled door with painted glass. Interior not inspected. Included for group value.
