NAPTON ON THE HILL HIGH STREET SP4661, SP4660 (East side) 10/78, 11/78 Ash Cottage and cottage 23/09/81 adjoining to right (Formerly listed as property adjoining Ash Cottage)

2 cottages. Ash Cottage on left is mid/late C18; right range and adjoining cottage early/mid C19. Coursed ironstone rubble. Ash Cottage has thatched roof; stone left end and brick right end stacks. Right range and adjoining cottage have moulded stone cornice and dentil cornice, possibly of terracotta. Slate roof: brick end stack. Ash Cottage is 2-unit plan with one-unit range. 2 storeys; 4-window range. Entrance on right of main range has C20 multi-panelled door. Open timber porch with large low thatched roof. 3-light casements; one-window range has 2-light casements; single horizontal glazing bar throughout. Adjoining cottage has plank door on right. 2-light casements, larger on ground floor with multiple glazing bars. Painted wood lintels. Interiors not inspected.
