Farmhouse. Front range has sundial dated 1695 with initials WRD above door; back
range possibly earlier C17. Mid C19 alterations and additions. Whitewashed
brick; front range has brick string course and moulded plaster eaves cornice.
Rear wing timber framed with lath and plaster whitewashed brick infill, largely
underbuilt in whitewashed brick. Old tile roofs, front range with gable
parapets; whitewashed brick external stacks. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys and
attic; 2-window range. Central C19 ribbed and studded door and simple tile hood.
C19 sashes, 16-pane to left and 20-pane to right on ground floor. Remnants of
brick segmental arches above. Attic has 2 mid C19 roof dormers. Casements with
glazing bars and decorated bargeboards. Stacks have string course and offsets,
and C19 square brick shafts. Left return side of wing has some exposed framing.
To rear: Jowled posts and some exposed framing to gable of wing. Interior
partially inspected: room to rear has heavy ceiling beam and joists.
