GREAT ALNE NEW END SP16SW 5/79 Barn approx. 100m. SW of New End Farmhouse (not included)

Barn. C17/C18. Timber framed: square framing with tension braces and brick infill. Late C20 tile roof. 5 bays. Second bay from left has wide plank doors; doors missing from fourth bay. 3 small fixed light windows inserted within framing interstices. Return sides have jowled posts. Right return side underbuilt in C19/C20 brick. To rear: Barn doors missing from second bay; small plank doors inserted in blocked 4th bay doorway. 5 small windows. Interior: Jowled posts. Queen strut roof. Floor and partition inserted in 2 bays, but this has not affected the structure.
