GV II
Two attached barns. now looseboxes and animal housing. Barn on right, nearest house, C17; end barn probably C18. Timber framed; square framing with tension braces and brick infill, and weatherboarding above. End barn has weatherboarding only. Brick plinth. Old tile roofs. Each 3 bays, forming one range. End barn has central half-height plank double doors. Right barn has plank door in right corner. Central plank pitchhole with door. First bay has blocked barn doorway. Left return side has 2 small windows inserted. To rear: End barn has stable door in first bay. Blocked barn doorway. Interior: Floors inserted, but these have not affected the structure. Retaining walls and braces. Partitions inserted between looseboxes. Roof structure not visible. Forms group with The Poplars Farmhouse (q.v.). Included for group value. (V.C.H.: Warwickshire, Vol.III, p.33).
