House. C16. Timber-frame with plaster and brick; stone rubble; central and end stacks, with stone bases and brick chimneys. L-shaped plan. EXTERIOR: east front: post-and-pan framing, with gable to left, over oriel with C20 metal casements; scattered C19 fenestration. C19 margin-glazed door to centre, under jetty with chamfered bressumer on arched brackets; to left, C20 restored bay, to right, C20 metal casement, in C19 stick framing to bressumer. Left returned side has C20 metal door and casement, and buttress-stack with stone rubble base. Single storey rubble and brick outhouse with Welsh slate roof, to right, against stone rubble gable wall. West front: post-and-pan framing; C19 lean-to porch; C19 plank door in lean-to porch to west gable; C20 extensions to west. INTERIOR: late C18/early C19 dogleg staircase with stick balusters to 1st floor; winder stair with stick balusters to attic. Attic: plank door. 1st floor: C17 panelled room; C18 fire surround; plank door; chamfered ceiling beams; 4-panel doors; chamfered joists; jowelled posts; C19 fire surround; 2 wall cupboards with panelled doors and H-hinges. Ground floor: 6-panel doors; 4-panel door; plank doors; chamfered ceiling beams with pyramid-stop chamfers; moulded stone fireplace, inscribed R.C; wall cupboard; picture-rail; chamfered stone fireplace; C17 panelled dado; chamfered ceiling-frame; C17 plaster-work ceiling; exposed post-and-pan framing. Cellar: mutilated winder stair; plank door; stone lining; plank door to exterior steps. (RCHME).
