WHITLEY BAY THE LINKS (east side) NZ 37 SE 5/178 Sewer gas lamp. II G.V. Sewer gas lamp. Circa 1900. Cast iron; curved glass lantern. Tall fluted standard. High valve to domed canopy of lantern. Panels on base with raised legens: WEBB LAMP COMPANY LTD., BIRMINGHAM on north; J.E. WEBB'S PATENT SEWER GAS DESTRUCTOR on south. Ladder rest at top of standard.
