TYNEMOUTH COLBECK TERRACE NZ 3669 SE Tynemouth 9/51 Nos 1-5 consecutive G.V. II 5 houses. Circa 1860. English bond brick, painted at no. 3. Sandstone ashlar basements, some painted, and dressings; Welsh slate roof with stone gable copings. Basement and 3 storeys; 2 bays to nos 1, 2 and 3; nos 4 and 5 have 3 bays. 4-panelled doors to nos 1, 2 and 4, and hardboard-covered door to no. 3, under overlights in flat Tuscan doorcases. Inserted C20 door under brick arch in first bay of no. 5. Stone mullions to canted bay windows of first bays and bay 3 of no. 4; sash windows above doors have projecting sills; wedge lintels to first floor and eaves/lintel band to second. No. 5 has similar sash windows and an inserted sash in bricked-up central door. All windows have late C19 glazing bars. Cast iron balconies to first floor-windows. Brick chimneys, some ashlar-corniced on ridge and at end of no. 4. No. 5 included for group value with nos 1-4 and with Bath Terrace, although altered.
