Details

TYNEMOUTH HOWARD STREET (west side) NZ 3568 SE North Shields 14/84 Baptist Church G.V. II Baptist church. Dated 1846 above door in Roman numerals. Sandstone ashlar with plinth; gable end to street; roof not visible. Romanesque style. One high storey, 3 bays. Round-headed double door with nook shafts and moulded arch in gabled central porch; small round-headed windows either side and in outer bays defined by tall stepped buttresses. Drip moulds and sill strings to 5 round- headed windows above, the central 3 stopped. Roll-moulded apex to gable coping.
