SU 7819-7919 HARTING THE STREET South Harting 28/3 The Village Pump in front of the Harting Church of - England Primary School - II The wall behind the pump has an inscription to the effect that the well was sunk and the pump erected by the School Board in 1863. But the Pump itself has an inscription on it to the effect that it was erected in 1887 as part of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. Square stone erection with pyramidal cap with finial. Iron handle and tap with trough below it.
