WESTGATE 1. 972 (North Side) Nos 24 & 26 SU 8504 NE 3/330 II GV 2. Formerly Nos 42 and 41 respectively. Pair of late C18 cottages. 2 storeys and attic. 1 window and 1 dormer each. Tiled roof higher and less steeply pitched than No 22. Red brick. Small cornice with modillions below eaves. Sash windows in reveals in segmental arches with rubbed brick dressings; glazing bars intact in No 26 and missing in No 24. Flat arched doorways with moulded frames; and rectangular pediments over. 6 panelled doorswith top 2 panels in No 26 cut away and glazed and top 4 panels cut away in No 24.

Nos 16 to 48 (even) form a group.
