Grants Farmhouse

(formerly listed as Grants Farmhouse, PARTRIDGE GREEN)

II
C17 or earlier timber-framed house refronted with red brick on ground floor and tile-hung above, but some timbering visible at the back on ground floor. Gable at west end of front. Tiled roof. Two storeys. Three windows. Dendrochronology carried out in 2020 indicated that felling of timbers may have occurred in around 1560, providing evidence for a possible later C16 origin as a two-and-a-half smoke bay building, one of only four tree-ring dated in West Sussex.
