Knightscroft
II*
Designed by Norman Shaw in 1879 for the composer, Sir Hubert Parry, who lived there until his death in 1918 and composed the anthem "Jerusalem" there. Two storeys. Five windows. Ground floor red brick, above tile-hung. Tiled roof. Casement windows. Five-sided bay on both floors. Brick chimney breast to the south of this. A plaque on the garden wall at the entrance records Sir Hubert Parry's association with the house for which it is graded II*.
