GV II
Farmhouse, now house. Probably c.1600 with later alterations. Timber framed on sandstone plinth with painted brick infill, mid-to-late C19 fishscale tiled roof. 2 storeys and gable-lit attic; 3 framed bays. Framing: 3 rectangular panels from cill to wall plate, short tension braces, but to the left of the doorway a change in the framing suggests
that the chimney may be a later insertion. Three 3-light late C20 leaded casements to first floor and 3 to ground, 2 to left of late C19 door with gabled hood and one to right; ridge stack re-built in mid-C19 purplish-brown brick, immediately to right of doorway. Interior: chamfered spine beam and heavy joists in main ground floor room to left of doorway, exposed timber frame; inglenook fireplace, late C17 oak staircase with curved splat balusters behind stack. Queen-strut roof with V-struts from the collar.
