WADHURST
Wadhurst Castle
(Formerly listed as Wadhurst Castle, SPARROW'S GREEN)
II
Built 1818-1820 and remodelled and extended to the west c 1839 by Edward Buckton Lamb, (1806-1869). It was further enlarged in 1870 and repaired following fire damage in 1933. Two storeys. Seven windows. Ashlar. Castellated parapet. Casement windows with stone mullions and transoms. Two storeyed projecting porch. Projecting octagonal turret to west of this.
