An inscription records that the school was founded in 1816 and rebuilt in 1852. The building dates from 1852. One storey and attic. Five windows. Red brick with some grey headers. Two gables with scalloped bargeboards. Bell hung below the south gable. The school has expanded to the south into a former outbuilding which is probably an older building. Ground floor painted brick, above tile-hung.
