LEIGH DEANOAK LANE TQ 24 NW (north side, off) 6/154 Barn approx 40 metres to south of Little Stumbleholes II

Barn. Probably early C18 incorporating earlier timbers, altered late C18 or early C19 and late C20. Timber-framed with C20 weatherboard cladding; plain tile roof. 2 storeys. Central opposing cart-entries, that at front with C20 board door, that at rear boarded across. Interior: sole plate; unjowelled wall posts; frame originally had 3 panels to each bay below midrail and 4 above, these now with later infill studs; arched and straight braces from wall posts to mid rail and wall plate, and to tie-beams which carry slightly curved queen struts clasping through purlins; old rafters. Late C18 of early C19 oxen stalls partitioned off in left bay.
