CAPEL C.P. THE STREET TQ 14SE (East Side) 8/100 Palmers Stores and 16/5/77 Cottage adjoining (Old Post Office) II
House, extended and divided. C17 with C18 wing to north, C19 double pile range added to south with further C19 and C20 extensions. Timber framed core with red and blue brick cladding to ground floor left, (north) colourwashed brick infill to exposed frame above under Horsham slab roof, tiled to rear. Red brick to right (south) with thin frame exposed above, render infilled, and plain tiled roof. Brick extensions to left under plain tiled roof. Originally 3 bay lobby entry house, at right angles to road and approached from south side.(right). Two storeys with offset stack to left side of projecting gable end wing, further stack to left on old range. Oversailing gable of original house to right of centre with further stack on rear. Two bays exposed to left with one first floor window and one casement below under drip hood; one first and two ground floor windows in gable end to right. One ground floor window and gabled dormer above in lower extension to left. Door under gabled hood on left hand return front. Double C19 range to right with rendered front and dentilled eaves cornice. Two first floor sash windows, central door with tented hood over on brackets and in reeded surround. Under restoration and alteration at time of resurvey.
