2/42 The Swan Public House - GV II

Public House. C18 and later extension. East front painted stucco with dentil eaves course. Tiled roofs gabled and hipped. Two and three storeys. Elevation to the Hythe. Porch of two columns supporting a single column surmounted by a sculptured swan. Ground floor has six 12-pane sash windows. First floor six 12-pane sash windows, one recess and one 4-pane sash with side lights and one later sash window. To the west a C19 extension, also painted stucco. Ground floor entrance and large pane sash window. First floor, three 6-pane sash windows. Hipped tile roof above short parapet to west. Two hips on east and single chimney stack. C19 three storey wing on river front. Two bay windows with verandah and terrace above. First floor, four glazed doors with side lights. Second floor, three 4-pane sash windows. Tiled roof. C18 cross wing to west with splayed end and hipped tiled roof. Ground floor door and two large pane sash windows. First floor, three 12-pane sash windows. Terrace to tow path. Later outbuilding to west.
