3.4.75 II

House formerly farmhouse. Late C16 altered C19 and restored and extended later C20. Exposed timber framed of square panels including end tension braces. Tiled roof with central brick chimneystack. 2 storeys L shaped with late C19 L range and modern extension on line of older outshot. Front elevation has two 12 pane sashes with horns and central casement. Other windows are modern casements. Central modern gabled porch, brick and timber framed with tiled roof. Plank type door. Right side elevation has projecting modern bay,left side elevation also has modern projecting bay. Rear wing is of 2 storey painted. Despite considerable alterations the interior has 2 C16 brick fireplaces with cambered arches, a chamfered spine beam with Lamb's tongue stops, 2 beams with run out steps, sane old wide oak floor boards, some C17 plank doors and a winder staircase which probably retains the old treads underneath the wooden ones.
