Cottage. Late C18, 1st shown on a 1790 county map of Surrey, with later C19 lean-to extension to rear, refenestrated in C20. Timber framed structure of thin scantling clad in weather-boarding except to read wall of stretcher band red brick, with is now an internal wall because of the addition. Old tiled roof and right side external brick chimney stack. 2 storeys and attic in gable end; 2 windows - Windows are C20.casements with leaded lights and shutters. C20 gabled porch reusing original 4 plank door with strap hinges. The original moulded door jamb survives behind the porch. Guardian Insurance Company fireplace attached to left hand side. Inferior features include a large cambered 'arched open fireplace, the original cantilevered wooden staircase which is partly situated in the living room to save staircase space, an under stair cupboard with H hinges and a 3 plank door with strap hinges.
