2/137 Tanglewood 1/5/53 II
House. Late C16/early C17 with later C17 wing to rear left, C19 wing to rear right and C20 restoration. Timber framed, clad in whitewashed render on front range, exposed on flint rubble plinth and with red brick infill to rear wing; later wing of whitewashed brick. Plain tiled roofs, restored in C20 with half-hip to left. Originally L-shaped plan with later C17 wing at right angles to rear. Two storeys with ridge stack to right of centre and further stack to right. Three framed bays to front range, that to right rebuilt,with three casement windows on each floor; those on the ground floor under cambered heads. Larger C20 window to ground floor left of centre. Ribbed door to right of centre under C20 hip-roofed hood on pillars. Queen post truss to rear gable with re-used timbers. Some frame exposed internally.
