2/270 Church Gate Farm 14/6/67 House (listed as Church Farmhouse)
GV II
House. C16 with C17 and C19 extensions to right end. Timber framed, exposed to right with brown brick infill, clad in red and blue brick to left and on extensions; plain tiled roofs stepping down to right. L-shaped plan with hipped roof wing to right end. 2 storeys with massive corbelled stack to left of centre on main range, further stack to right of centre on wing. Leaded casement fenestration with two windows on first floor, both 3-light, and two casements to ground floor under cambered heads. 2 storey, gabled brick entrance porch to lobby entrance, with first floor casement window over planked door under gauged brick head. Thinner frame exposed on wing with irregular fenestration of 2 first floor and ground floor windows, including one large C20 "cross" window to right. Door to left of centre.
