3/56 Artington Manor 14.6.67 Farm House
GV II
House. Late C16, extended in C18 and C19. Timber-framed to rear and right, exposed with red brick infill. Front range mortar rendered, with ironstone galleting in parts, to sandstone rubble work with brick dressings. Plain tiled half hipped roof. Original house to rear with parallel range built across the front, further extended at right angles to rear.
Front: Two storeys with boxed eaves on joist ends. Large rear stack to left, further stack to rear right. Three three-light first floor "cross" windows with diamond leading under brick heads, two tripartite windows to ground floor. Central half-glazed door in panelled reveal and moulded wood surround. Flat hood over on brackets.
Left Hand Return Front: Tile hung on first floor, rubble stone below. Sash window to left.
Rear: Frame exposed on first floor left with bracing. Stone cladding to right, red and blue brick extension, single storey to right end. Central porch with pattern tile roof. Wavy-edge bargeboards to gable over round arched entrance with door under fanlight.
