The Tower at Ruxley Towers
II
Tower, now part of office. C1870 for Lord Foley. Stuccoed; roof concealed. Five-stage octagonal tower with taller octagonal stair lower on north-east side. In C15 Gothic style having: square-headed windows with hood-moulds, of two lights to upper stages of main tower, of one light to stair lower; looped arrow slits at top of stair tower; corbelled embattled parapets (that of main tower fenestrated) with roll-moulded coping; dragon gargoyles. Main tower has segmental-arched doorway next to stair tower, larger windows on ground floor, and first floor oriel window on south-west side.
Remainder of the building not of special architectural or historic interest.
