Country house, now school. Late C18 with C19 alterations and additions. Incised render to main block , yellow stock brick to wing. Hipped slate roofs with end stacks. Rectangular main block with projecting wing to left forming courtyard in front. 2 storeys , 3 bays. Glazing bar sash windows across first floor, 2 bay wing projecting to right. Double glazed doors to left under proch hood on two Doric columns. two bay range set back to left with dentilled eaves and glazing bar sash windows. Projecting wing to left: 8 bays , 3 bays to right of pedimented break, with glazing bar sash windows under gauged heads across the first floor. Double glazed doors in arched opening to centre of pedimented break. Right hand return front. 2 storeys with glazing bar sash fenestration, cambered heads to ground floor windows. Recessed terrace to left behind 4 Doric columns on pedestals. Relief panel of "Battle of the Lapiths and Centaurs" to centre of first floor. Garden front: Dentilled eaves with battlemented parapets above. 3 angle bays to left 1 storey, flat edged, stone conservatory (now cloak-room) to right of centre, 4 Doric columns with full height, glazed panels between.
