Priory Gateway and

Priory gateway. Late C15 or C16 with walls of enclosure of various dates.
Red English bond brick with black headers and pantile roof. Two storeys.
South face: polygonal buttresses to the angles. Central double chamfered
gate arch which has C19 brick infill in Flemish bond with a cambered-headed
doorway. Above the gate arch is a window, blocked with C18 brick and above
that a 3-light Perpendicular window with chamfered brick mullions and a 4-
centered arched head. Gable above, which covers the tops of the polygonal
buttresses. Recessed and at right is a range of C19 farm buildings not
included in this item. The right hand side has a niche to the centre.
Left hand side has offsets at the same level as those on the polygonal
buttresses but is otherwise blank. The north face has polygonal buttresses
at either side and a blocked gate arch at centre similar to that on the
south front. Two blocked rectangular windows to the first floor at right
and left.
