Farmhouse. Later C17. L-shape plan. Colourwashed brick, with a sawtooth
corbel course at first floor level and also at attic level on the gable ends;
pantiled roof. 2 storeys with attics to the front range. The front range has
a 2-cell form and a symmetrical 2-bay facade: 3-light casement windows under
segmental arches, those to the ground floor of mid C20; doorway with C19
timber porch and mid C20 door. Dutch gable ends, the right hand gable end now
rendered; the left hand gable end has original windows at first floor and
attic levels, now bisected by a C19 stack: the first floor window is blocked,
the attic window has early diamond leaded glass. The rear wing has some
blocked original windows; this wing now terminates in a heavy internal stack
but originally extended further to the rear. Ovolo-moulded train beams. On
the first floor of the rear wing is an ornamental plaster ceiling with Fleur-
de-lys motifs and a central band of running vine design; the room directly
below also had an ornamental ceiling, although only part of the border and one
Tudor rose motif survive.
