II
Tower windmill. 1856, by John Whitmore, millwright of Wickham Market. Brick tower with 6 floors above the ground floor, the lower 2 floors tarred, whitewashed above. Small pane cast iron casement windows to each quarter, segmental arches. Cap, sails and internal machinery missing; the tower has a flat roof with a guard rail and tall flagpole. The tower is 16.8m. high and a prominent local landmark. Remains of steam mill attached to east, the top floor removed.
