Details
SHOTTISHAM THE STREET TM 34 SW (North side) 10/132 Post Office & House GV II Post Office and house. Early C19. Colourwashed brick with a plain tile roof. Single 2-storey range with shop at right and the house to left. Road front: tri-partite shop front at right. Central doorway, the door having 2 lower recessed panels and 4 upper glazed panels. To either side are windows above low brick walling, of 4x4 panes. To either side of these windows and the doorway are fluted pilaster strips with projecting lozenges to the frieze. The house at left has a central 1/2-glazed doorway with two 3-light casement windows set at each side and having cambered heads. To the first floor are three 3-light casement windows. Band of alternately projecting headers below the eaves. Gable chimney stacks to either side, each having 2 flues. To far right is a single-storey C19 addition with a canted bay window at left and a cambered-headed doorway to right.
