House, former pavilion to Abbey Gatehouse. This is one of a pair c1800, the one
on the right of the gatehouse now demolished. Red brick and random stone.
Pyramidal slate roof. 2 storeys with single storey glazed conservatory at
rear. The front has a sham recessed carriageway way opening with stone pointed
4 centred arch springing from a brick platband. At ground floor level is a
plain doorway blocked with stone. 3 C20 fixed lights at ground floor with
segmental arches. At first floor there are 2 quatrefoil dummy openings filled
with stone. The left hand flank wall is in random stone. The rear
fenestration consists of C20 casements with glazing bars and semi circular
arches. Stone dentil course at eaves. 2 red brick stacks.
