Farmhouse under General)

House. Late C18. Rubble stone from original Butley Abbey with ashlar quoins
and dressings. Plain tile roof. Originally 'L' shape plan with C20 additions.
East west range and north south wings; two storeys and attic. East elevation
has gable end with four windows: sashes in recessed frames with glazing bars.
Brick segmental arches. North-south wing has 2 windows: sashes in recessed
frames with glazing bars at first floor. At ground floor a modern canted bay
in red brick with sashes. Modern entrance doorway with pilasters and moulded
hood on decorated brackets. 6 panelled raised and fielded door. South
elevation has 3 window range: sashes in recessed frames. Brick segmental
arches; modern full height casement double door with glazing bars and radial
fanlight over with semi circular brick arch. 2 gabled dormers and one C20
centre dormer. Gault brick stacks.
