2. Dated 1784. 3 storey, red brick, slates, parapet, 2 stone bands, plinth. 3 windows, sash, with flat arches, glazing bars and stone cills, dummy panel top floor. Originally 5 windows with central entrance, recently reduced and now L-shaped on plan. 6-panel door, fielded, panelled reveals, arched radial bar fanlight. One Adam type ceiling and mantel. C18 wing at rear facing Chapel Lane, 2 storey, red brick, dark headers, pantiles, sashes in flush frames, modern door in original case, panelled reveals, conscles and pediment. NMR photos. All listed buildings in Market Hill form a group around The Shire Hall.
