1/11 Barn, immediately to the - north of The Old House

GV II

Barn, forming the principal part of a range of farm buildings immediately to the north of The Old House. Early C18. 8 bays, with a single aisle along the north side; set sideways-on to the road. Timber-framed, part weatherboarded, the upper part of the south side plastered, the aisle wall rebuilt in brick. Black glazed pantiles. Interior framing with a middle rail, bisected studs, and primary braces. The arched braces to tie-beams partly renewed or removed. Roof with one row of clasped purlins, queen struts, and a ridge-piece. Included for Group Value.
