3/7 Barn at Moseley's Farm 14.7.55 (formerly listed with Moseley's Farmhouse) and boundary wall on road frontage GV II

Barn, set sideways-on to road. C17. Timber-framed; partly weatherboarded on the south side, but mainly encased in early C19 red brick and random flint; corrugated iron roof. 13 bays; 3 gabled cart entries on the south side. Good timbering: bisected studs, primary braces, short sections of middle rail, stepped, between main posts; the aisles contain much reused timber, particularly the aisle ties and posts, and there is a form of reversed assembly. Trusses with straight braces, most replaced by bolted knees, and main posts without jowls. Roof with one row of clasped purlins only, and some later strutting. The ground-level of the 4 middle bays has been lowered for use as cattle pens. An open lean-to cart-lodge has been built up against the south front at its east end. The gable-end on the east is built into the boundary wall of the farmyard on the road frontage: a flint and red brick early C19 wall with a brick dentil cornice and coping. Short brick pilasters divide the bays.
