Row of cottages. C17/C18, unified as model cottages mid C19. Coursed squared
ironstone, central 3 bays banded with limestone, plain tile roofs, brick end and
ridge stacks, those to right on stone bases. 2 storeys and attic; 9-window
range. All three cottages have 4 panel doors, part-glazed to No.5 which has
stop-chamfered lintel, rest flat-arched with keyblocks, all with steep gabled
timber hoods on brackets. 2- and 3-light casements windows to ground and first
floors, some with flat-arched heads with keyblocks, rest timber lintels. No.3,
C17, raised, has in addition a small rectangular double-chamfered window to
ground floor right with hood mould. No.5 has 2-light cavetto mullion window to
rear left. Interiors of Nos.1 and 3 not inspected. No.5 has bar-stop-chamfered
spine beam and open fireplace with oqee-stop-chamfered cambered bressumer.
