Farmhouse. Early C17, in 2 closely-dated phases. Part one storey and attics, part 2 storeys and attics. Timber-framed; roughcast rendered; clay pantiles. 2 internal chimney-stacks, one with a plain red brick shaft, the other, which links the higher and lower sections of the house, with 3 attached diagonally- set shafts. 2-light and 3-light casement windows, the latter with transomes; a 3-light mullion-and-transome window in the south gable wall; one dormer with sloping single-pitch roof. 2 doors in boarded porches. The ground and first floor rooms at the south end have close-studding and ovolo- moulded main beams and cornice; both beams and joists with lamb's tongue and jewel stops. The 2 central bays have largely replacement timbers. At the north end, one room with chamfer and curved stops with jewel., followed by 2 bays of later framing with the roof above renewed. The central section has 2 rows of butt purlins.
